The HPE Networking Instant On Switch 1940 S4A34A is a 48-port Gigabit managed PoE switch designed for small and medium-sized businesses that require reliable wired connectivity, Power over Ethernet, and high-speed network uplinks.
The switch provides 48 × Gigabit Ethernet ports with Class 4 PoE for connecting and powering devices such as wireless access points, IP phones, IP cameras, and other network equipment. It offers a total 370W PoE power budget, providing sufficient power capacity for multiple PoE devices across the network.
For high-speed network aggregation, the S4A34A includes 4 dedicated SFP+ ports, supporting up to 10GbE uplink connectivity with compatible SFP+ transceivers. This makes it suitable for connecting the switch to servers, storage systems, core switches, or other high-bandwidth network infrastructure.
